Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Baltimore, Mayor's Office of Employment Development as an Office Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Let's Ride to Work program, which aims to provide rideshare services to adult Baltimore City residents who are newly employed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with troubleshooting the Lyft app
  • Coordinate with the Risk Solutions Team to ensure efficient management
  • Handle logistics, including scheduling and organizing meetings/appointments
  • Liaise with other teams within the company and external customers to ensure efficient workflow and requests
  • Support community events and relief efforts to assist participants with their needs and provide them with resources
  • Order and maintain office supplies and materials for the program
  • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues

Requirements:

  • One year of college including courses in business administration
  • Two years of office/clerical experience, one of which must have been progressively responsible office/clerical experience
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
  • Ability to learn and use MOED and City designated software programs
  • Thorough knowledge of existing office practices and equipment, and of business English, spelling, punctuation, good grammatical and arithmetic
