About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design and development of electrical systems for high technology facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems, including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities, and institutional facilities.
  • Prepare electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical system designs, including electrical equipment sizing, feeder sizing, and equipment selection.
  • Plan and schedule discipline deliverables and activities, including man-hour estimation, assigning personnel, and supervision of discipline personnel on projects.
  • Support project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultant.
  • Develop manpower and labor cost requirements for projects and monitor them to aid in evaluating project schedule and budget.
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by discipline team.
  • Develop conceptual design, preliminary design, and final design documents, including calculations related to sizing and selecting of systems, power diagrams, layout of electric equipment, electrical system control, and the like.
  • Work closely with project teams and other disciplines to ensure that electrical systems are designed and implemented to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  • Coordinate with disciplines in the preparation and development of deliverables and ensure that other disciplines' inputs are incorporated.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems.
  • Good time management skills, strong work ethic, and attention to details.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representatives.
  • Energetic and self-motivated.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff.
  • Ability to manage 10+ staff.
