About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Omni-Pump Repairs, Inc. Based in Chicago, we specialize in pump and motor sales and service, serving clients in the Chicagoland area, including commercial, municipal, and industrial accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of proven industry sales experience, including outside/field sales experience, with a strong understanding of pumps, complete pump systems, electric motors, rotating equipment, and electrical/electronic control systems.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals within your assigned territory by focusing on managing existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships with our clients and vendor partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving sales objectives while providing accurate forecasting.
  • Identifying new product applications at existing and new customers.
  • Preparing and delivering on-site presentations and written proposals.
  • Assessing technical challenges and developing solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Acting as a technical resource for wastewater pumps and systems, ground/storm water pumps and systems, booster pump systems, variable speed drives, and motors.

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $120,000 per year, based on level of experience and location. We offer a competitive base salary plus commission program, medical and dental benefits, paid time off, vacation pay, holiday pay, and more.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent business development and customer relationship skills, superior oral and written communication, good organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work autonomously. A current driver's license with a clean driving record and background check are also required.
