Housekeeping Manager

The Standard, High Line is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department, including room assignments, cleaning, and daily inspections.
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure excellent service and high standards of cleanliness.
- Coordinate with the Engineering department to address maintenance issues and ensure timely completion.
- Plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
- Maintain proper inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, and inform the Director of Housekeeping of any shortages.
Requirements:
- Previous experience managing a team of housekeeping employees.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals, and direction quickly, and multitask.
- Working knowledge of rooms management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Housekeeping processes and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a budget and make sound financial decisions.
- Proven comfort and experience interacting effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele.
- Activator/self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency with general office PC applications.
- Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and be flexible with scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lb. without assistance.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work with sharp objects in a safe manner.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperature extremes.
