We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our luxury hotel.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Housekeeping in managing all aspects of the department, including public areas and laundry facilities.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all guestrooms and public areas.
- Recommend and implement procedural changes to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Manage the department, including supervising staff, providing training and coaching, and resolving issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards, as well as accident/loss prevention programs.
- Issue assignments to staff, review special requests, and maintain controls to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
- Perform daily inspections of public areas, guestrooms, and back house areas to ensure high standards are met.
- 2 years of upscale hotel housekeeping management experience required.
- Union experience required.
- Must be hospitality-oriented, able to work well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
- Must be a team player and enjoy working on and with teams of people.
- Ability to acquire and maintain relationships with team members and guests.
- Excellent work ethic, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist other team members.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Must be computer-literate in Word and Excel and have knowledge of a hotel rooms management system.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Service-focused personality is essential.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.
- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture, and set the scene for high performance.
- Some experience working in a Housekeeping environment as a manager or supervisor is preferred.
