Overview

Southern Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Stroke Coordinator Registered Nurse to join our team. As a member of our award-winning team, you will be part of a community committed to quality, compassion, and community.

Our hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including Senior Care, Senior Behavioral Health Services, Emergency Services, Heart and Vascular, Advanced Imaging, Laboratory, Neuroscience Services, Rehabilitation, Sleep Diagnostic Center, Surgery/Robotic Surgery, Wound Care, and Women's Health Services. We are accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center.

Responsibilities

The Stroke Coordinator Registered Nurse will be responsible for coordinating all services and systems required for the care of STEMI or stroke patients. This role will work closely with other healthcare team members to provide quality care and support the goals of the hospital in advancing STEMI and stroke care.

The ideal candidate will have a current and valid state RN license, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, and at least three years of experience in an acute care hospital environment. Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Education requirements obtained and maintained as outlined by The Joint Commission as a requirement for the coordinator for both programs
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills essential
  • Team approach to patient care
  • Computer experience in Windows applications (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong working knowledge in data management, data analysis, and quality improvement processes are preferred
