As a key member of our organization, the Medical Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination, integration, and implementation of organization-wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Conduct chart reviews, data abstraction for CMS Core Measures and other quality outcomes studies, and staff education regarding core measures and updates regarding new and enhanced indicators.
  • Collaborate with the manager/director of Performance Improvement to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient care and quality improvement activities.
  • Provide education and training to staff on quality improvement initiatives and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • State RN licensure or certification in a healthcare field.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Experience in reviewing charts for care issues.
  • Experience with Medical Staff communication.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and typing.
