Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with various teams including Operations, Engineering, and Shared Services to ensure the design, setup, operation, and maintenance of gas processing equipment is optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with field technicians and subcontractors to execute operational plans effectively.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the specification and procurement of necessary equipment.
  • Contribute to the creation of job aids and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the formulation of inspection reports to maintain compliance and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical documents such as material test reports and pressure test documentation.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strive for operational excellence in all engineering tasks.
  • Provide support to field technicians during the commissioning and troubleshooting of customer projects.
  • Operate company vehicles as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline relevant to the gas industry from an ABET accredited institution is mandatory.
  • 3-7 years of experience in gas field operations or engineering is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn about the operation and maintenance of various gas field process equipment.
  • Ability to successfully complete safety and operator qualification programs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and adherence to company insurability standards.
  • Capability to read and interpret P&IDs and other technical drawings.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required prior to employment.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications including MS Office and company-specific software.
  • Fundamental math skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while following directives and maintaining focus on details.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
