Electronic Systems Technician

Job Overview:
The Electronics Technician is responsible for establishing testing setups and executing evaluations of electronic assemblies and components, adhering to established methods, protocols, standards, and sequences. This role involves designing and assembling units for the production of electronic devices based on provided specifications.
Key responsibilities include adjusting and calibrating systems as necessary, diagnosing malfunctions through adjustments or component replacements as instructed. The technician will utilize hand tools, small power tools, and various measuring and testing instruments to fulfill job responsibilities.
In this position, the technician will determine the types of tests to be conducted, approve and recommend modifications to testing equipment, and analyze test outcomes to assess the performance of products and systems.
Collaboration with engineers in the design and development of testing procedures for new products is essential, along with suggesting product enhancements or manufacturing adjustments. The technician may also monitor and ensure quality in line with statistical process control or other quality assurance procedures.
Additionally, the technician will troubleshoot issues down to the component level, using schematic diagrams to identify failures in both Analog and Digital circuits. A strong understanding of Solid State devices and micro-circuitry is required.
This role demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high productivity levels to meet customer demands.
Proficiency in using various measurement instruments, including Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, frequency Standards, signal generators, and RF Power Meters, is essential.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Skilled in troubleshooting at the component level for solid state, digital, and RF circuits.
- Competent in using Microsoft Suite and other data collection tools for accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
- Experience with flying probe and high power testing.
Desired Skills:
- Extensive experience in RF Testing
- Familiarity with Radar Systems
A high school diploma or equivalent experience/combined education, along with specialized technical training equivalent to an Associate degree, is required, along with 1 year of practical experience.
