POSITION: Electronics Technician - Light Industrial

COMPENSATION: $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Set up testing equipment and execute evaluations of electronic assemblies and units following established protocols and standards.
  • Assemble production units for electronic devices based on provided designs and specifications.
  • Adjust and calibrate systems as necessary, troubleshooting malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing components as instructed.
  • Utilize hand tools and small power tools, along with various measuring and testing instruments, to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Determine appropriate tests to conduct, recommend modifications to testing equipment, and analyze results to assess product performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers in developing testing procedures for new products and suggest improvements or modifications to manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure quality control in accordance with statistical process control or other methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot to the component level, using schematic diagrams to identify failures in both analog and digital circuits.
  • A strong understanding of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry is essential.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment, meeting customer deadlines.
  • Proficient use of various measurement tools, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and RF power meters.

Essential Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to an associate degree.
  • Proven ability to perform technical tasks with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting solid-state, digital, and RF circuits at the component level.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Suite and other data collection tools for accurate documentation.
  • Experience with high power testing methodologies is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in RF testing.
  • Familiarity with radar systems is advantageous.
  • Troubleshooting: No specific requirement; however, it is highly valued.
  • Radio Frequency (RF): No specific requirement; however, it is highly valued.
