Job Summary:
Klamath Tribal Health and Family Services seeks a highly skilled HR professional to lead the development and implementation of organizational policies, programs, and initiatives. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and guidance to management staff and employees on compliance with tribal employment laws and regulations. With a strong background in human resources, this leader will oversee all aspects of employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and training programs.

About the Role:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with tribal employment laws and regulations. This includes monitoring and enforcing federal, state, and local laws governing employment practices, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports. Additionally, this role involves providing technical assistance to management staff and employees on matters related to personnel actions, benefit requirements, and compensation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative capacity, including direct staff supervision and program management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with tribal employment laws and regulations* Provide technical assistance to management staff and employees* Oversee employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and training programs* Develop and implement organizational policies and programs* Maintain accurate records and reports* Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement annual operating budgets

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management* At least five years of experience in an administrative capacity, including direct staff supervision and program management* Strong personal and professional judgment* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements* Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
