We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Operations Manager to join our team at Chumash Enterprises. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all HVAC systems, including refrigeration, heating, building automation, energy management, and water treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage a team of skilled HVAC service technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
- System Maintenance and Repair: Perform a full range of preventative maintenance and general operations tasks on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment and compressed air systems.
- Energy Management: Manage HVAC energy use with building automation programs, ensuring optimal energy efficiency and reducing costs.
- Project Management: Requisition materials and supplies as needed, prepare estimates of work hours, materials, and resources required for projects, and schedule and assign work to team members.
- Quality Control: Inspect work of team members to ensure quality of work meets standards, and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
- Training and Development: Provide safety and equipment training to team members, and ensure power tools are in safe operable condition.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate work of outside contractors, obtain bids and specifics of projects, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare reports and keep records of repairs done, purchases, inventory, and other relevant data.
- Team Building and Development: Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Certificate, and Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Five years of prior experience in facilities maintenance and/or construction, and three years of prior experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills: Solid knowledge of shop mathematics, ability to interpret and apply building plans and blueprints, and skill in the use of tools and equipment common to the trade.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
- Other Requirements: Must participate and complete required ongoing departmental training, hold a valid California driver's license, meet the insurance requirements of Chumash Enterprises, and apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
