We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to join our team at BrightView. As a Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our golf courses, ensuring they are in top condition for our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Course Maintenance: Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance of all areas of the golf course, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
- Customer Liaison: Serve as the liaison between the company, customers, and golf shop staff, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any issues.
- Equipment Management: Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course.
- Budgeting: Prepare and operate within annual budget estimates, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Agronomic Planning: Prepare and follow an annual agronomic plan that meets the technical specifications of the contract and annual budget.
- Supply Management: Procure and manage supplies and materials to support maintenance activities.
- Reporting: Create and distribute reports of maintenance activities as required.
- Employee Management: Manage golf course employees, including interview, hire, training, discipline, and separation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Protect the company's interests by being aware of and complying with all applicable regulations, including course and company policies.
- Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative duties in a timely manner, including administering the BrightView Safety Program and the BrightView BV360 Management Program.
- Representation: Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a positive and professional manner, including attitude, appearance, and speech.
- Employee and Public Relations: Maintain effective employee and public relations, meeting or exceeding external and internal customer expectations.
- Experience: Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture.
- Knowledge: A working knowledge of the construction, establishment, and maintenance practices employed on golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
- Education: A degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science.
- Certifications: Certified and/or licensed for pesticide usage.
- License: Valid driver's license.
- Designation: Class A Superintendent designated by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
