Job Summary

Equest seeks a highly motivated and experienced Development Officer to join our Advancement team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing support from private foundations, corporate foundations, government grants, and individual prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify and cultivate new donors and funding opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with program teams to deliver high-touch donor engagement opportunities.
  • Write and submit grant proposals to private sources, including foundations and corporations.
  • Manage and facilitate contributed revenue activities, including renewals, prospecting, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a grants toolkit for the development team.
  • Prepare reports and monitor grant awards, including grant agreements, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct stewardship and cultivation activities to build and maintain relationships with funders.
  • Maintain timely and accurate database records, files, and reports in Raisers Edge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Goal-oriented and committed to non-profit philosophy.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to write compelling proposals and grants.
  • Ability to multitask and work within strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Raisers Edge.
