About the Role

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Corporate Finance Division as a Deputy Director/Assistant Director. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in regulating corporate fund raising, take-overs and mergers activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess prospectuses for compliance with the law and work on initiatives to promote fair, orderly and transparent capital markets.
  • Administer the Singapore Take-over Code to ensure an efficient market for corporate control as well as equal treatment of all shareholders.
  • Undertake regular reviews of the rules and regulations governing corporate fund-raising as well as take-overs and mergers, taking into account market developments and international trends.
  • Engage with industry practitioners to gain insight into capital market issues, investment products, as well as securities regulation and supervision.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience or degree in Business, Accountancy, Law or Financial Economics.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to work at both conceptual and operational levels.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
  • Natural inquisitiveness and ability to be creative in problem-solving.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
