Position Overview:

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will deliver professional support to the Human Resources leadership team, assisting with staffing needs, benefits administration, and various office administration tasks. You will also implement programs and procedures essential for achieving the goals and objectives of the Human Resources department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update HR/Payroll systems, including information on agency temporaries, benefits enrollment, and personal data modifications.
  • Assist in managing employee vacation records, timekeeping, and the organization of personnel documents.
  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  • Assist in resolving workplace interpersonal issues and conflicts.
  • Stay informed about employment laws and HR regulations.
  • Facilitate benefits enrollment processes and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR colleagues and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant HR experience or a combination of education and experience necessary to fulfill the essential functions of the role.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency to complete time-sensitive tasks.
  • Able to work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills are essential.
