Regional HR Manager Job Description

At Short Partners LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Regional HR Manager to lead our Human Resources practices in the Latin America region. As a key member of our Global Human Resources Team, you will partner with our Latin America Leaders to optimize and facilitate our business strategy and outcomes.

The successful candidate will leverage best practices, build talent, drive collaboration, and support our growth culture throughout the region. This role will be based at our Latin America office in Miami, Florida, and will report to our Chief People Officer and President of Latin America.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement regional HR strategies, tactics, and operations that encompass the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Regional leadership to define and support our long-term strategies and goals through talent management and organizational development.
  • Communicate and collaborate with global key stakeholders across Business Units, functions, and subsidiaries to determine and address business-related HR issues, needs, and requirements.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to local/country human resource teams and Country Managers; assist with resolution of human resource, compensation, and engagement concerns and issues.
  • Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, work-life-effectiveness programs, performance appraisal, employee incentive, diversity & inclusion, and other programs aligned with our Global HR strategy.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train management-level staff and business leaders.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
  • Identify key performance indicators for our human resource management functions; assess our success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with employment and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Responsible for creating the regional HR budget and ensuring annual spending is aligned with budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, International Business Management, Organization Development, Psychology.
  • Five plus years of progressive leadership experience in various Human Resources positions at multinational organizations.
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.

Required skills: Broad knowledge and experience in entire employee experience life cycle elements. Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, change management, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and influencing skills. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. General knowledge of various LATAM employment laws and practices. Must be willing to travel regionally. Ability to operate at both strategic and execution level. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. Proficiency in establishing HR, Compliance framework, and policies. Project management and budget management skills. Fluency in English and Spanish. Fluency in Portuguese highly preferred. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
