Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Husbandry Technician II to join our team at Marshall Farms Group, Ltd. As a key member of our animal care program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical duties related to breeding, birthing, animal health, and shipping, including vaccinating, tattooing, treating, and acclimating animals for order requirements.
- Move and regroup animals as directed by the coordinator in an accurate and expeditious manner.
- Socialize animals to help them become accustomed to procedures that would normally be performed in a research laboratory environment.
- Use proper animal handling techniques while noting and reporting animal morbidity issues.
- Other duties as specified by management.
- Make observations regarding animal health and communicate what you observe to your coordinator.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Competency Requirements: Individual is capable of effectively and consistently performing essential tasks and operating all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Leadership Requirements: Individual will contribute to a productive and professional environment by setting a positive example and demonstrating enthusiasm, diligence, and ethical behavior and by taking responsibility for one's actions and challenging oneself to continually improve.
