$80,000 - $90,000, Unlimited PTO, Health/Retirement Reimbursement and Professional Development stipend up to $1,000 per month, Connectivity Allowance up to $950 per year

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Operations will be tasked with formulating and executing operational strategies that align with the mission and growth objectives of Sunrise.

This pivotal leadership role is essential in managing various facets of the organization's operations to guarantee the effective and efficient provision of services to individuals facing homelessness.

Candidates with a strong background in leadership within nonprofit organizations or social services agencies are encouraged to apply.

Position Qualifications:
Master's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field preferred

Strong organizational and project management skills

Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership abilities

Knowledge of homeless services, social services, or a related field preferred

Experience in managing diverse teams and fostering collaboration

Experience in business development, budgeting, and facility management required

Position Responsibilities:
Leadership

Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Leadership Team to create, communicate, implement, and sustain strategic initiatives that advance the organization's mission

Work with the Leadership Team to make data-informed decisions for operational management

Establish and maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders while keeping accurate records of interactions

Develop, implement, and assess policies and procedures that support Sunrise's mission.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Operations

Design, implement, and evaluate Sunrise's program operations to ensure cohesive and efficient service delivery.

Oversee procurement, maintenance, inventory, and tracking of equipment, technology, and supplies necessary for program operations.


Develop, implement, and evaluate safety protocols to provide a secure and welcoming environment for clients, staff, interns, volunteers, visitors, and partners.

Manage facility maintenance and capital improvements while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.


Coordinate scheduling across teams to ensure full coverage through regular staff, PRN staff, contract staff, and interns.

Execute financial management plans for program operations in accordance with budget guidelines and effective resource management.

Manage relationships with contractors and vendors for facility-related services.

Supervise the Technology Specialist and Operations Coordinator.

Human Resources


Develop, implement, and evaluate human resources (HR) management, including policies, procedures, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance evaluations, and employee relations.

Develop, implement, and evaluate staff training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.

Oversee employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution fairly and consistently.

Maintain employee records and ensure data privacy and security.

Supervise the Thriving People Specialist contractor.

Position Considerations:
The Vice President of Operations will work directly with staff and clients onsite, filling in for staffing gaps to ensure continuity of service when necessary.

Attendance at staff meetings in person is required.

Compliance with and development of program operations in accordance with Sunrise's Strategic Plan is essential.

Support for Sunrise's goal to integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in all operations is expected.

Identify potential risks to the organization and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring the safety of clients and staff.

Organize and prioritize multiple activities to meet all external and internal deadlines.
