Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Patient Support Unit team in El Paso, TX. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care in various clinics, including home, telemedicine, and mobile visits.
- Collaborate with our contracted and affiliated WellMed physicians, advance practice clinicians, and clinic staff to deliver a coordinated model of care.
- Educate providers on proper coding, risk adjustment metrics, and quality protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct patient interviews to ensure accurate documentation and completion of preventative screenings.
- Track and report performance metrics related to the organization's strategic direction and operational needs.

- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board.
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- 1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population.
- Familiarity with primary care and chronic condition codes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency.
- A working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
