Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the activities of personnel within the bun production and packaging areas, ensuring the most efficient and effective production of high-quality bakery products under safe and sanitary conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor equipment settings and operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to company standards.
  • Control process standards relative to mixing, fermentation, dividing, molding, proofing, baking, slicing, packaging, and coding.
  • Ensure adequate supply of materials needed for production requirements.
  • Monitor completion of process control and quality assurance documents for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct training and indoctrination of hourly employees in job functions, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, and company policies.
  • Complete required documents and reports accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain communication with department head regarding employee, equipment, process control, quality, safety, or sanitation issues.
  • Report maintenance and sanitation issues to Maintenance and/or Sanitation Departments.
  • Consult and discipline employees as necessary to maintain a safe, sanitary, and productive work environment.
  • Resolve employee grievances at the step-one level.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 1 year of prior supervisory experience.
  • Fluency in MS Office, specifically MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
