As an Assistant Manager at Coach, you will demonstrate a high level of business acumen; delivering sales results through employee development and mentorship. You will embody a strategic mindset to deliver operational efficiencies, ensuring Coach's standards and competencies are top of mind.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop sales strategies, initiatives, and growth across all categories; communicate goals to the team, track store's performance at all times, and achieve sales
  • Hold the management team accountable for personal productivity and management contribution
  • Develop clienteling strategy; implement and monitor over time, to achieve business goals and objectives in partnership with the Store Manager
  • Understand changes in market with potential impact on business performance and support the execution of sales strategies/tactics
  • Bring best self to work through Coach's Guide to Style; ensure all associates follow expectations
  • Act as brand ambassador in the market/mall to drive loyalty and business
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner while being solution-oriented and forward thinking; partner with the Store Manager and/or District Manager as needed
  • Develop team to build long-term relationships with customers to drive business
  • Take initiative; have a high level of ownership and accountability for results of self and others
  • Work directly with the Store/District Manager to protect and drive the needs of the business
  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed without negatively impacting service of Coach standards
  • Approach challenges in direct and timely manner and take action to course correct in the moment, when appropriate
  • Build trusting relationships with peers and team; act as advocate for the Brand
  • Welcome feedback and adapt behaviors; create short and long-term goals to achieve personal metrics and store performance
  • Delegate and empower others
  • Create enthusiasm and positivity for a shared vision and mission
  • Recognize and value individual performance
Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail service environment preferable
  • Possess current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience using retail systems (i.e., labor management, inventory systems, sales reporting, etc.)
  • Ability to execute at a fast pace
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team
  • Ability to maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room; climbing, bending, and kneeling are required
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds to process product shipment/transfers
  • Ability to meet Coach Scheduling & Availability Expectations, including ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays high retail traffic and sales days
