- Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and professional greeting, setting the tone for a positive experience.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collect co-pays and balance the office finances on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build and maintain patient records using our practice EMR system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments, managing physician schedules, and distributing quality assurance surveys and prevention screenings.
- Monitor and respond to incoming messages from Care Team inboxes, collaborating with the nurse to ensure seamless communication.
- Protect patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA confidentiality guidelines, maintaining a secure and confidential environment.
- Contribute to a team effort by adapting to changing roles and responsibilities as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- High School diploma with at least 1 year of experience in a medical or administrative setting.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and physicians in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Typing and computer skills are an asset, with proficiency in EMR systems and other software applications.
- Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
- Competitive salary up to $22 per hour.
- Benefits package including tuition reimbursement, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401k plan, and generous PTO time.
