Company Mission

Jacobs delivers comprehensive field, range, testing, chemical, and biological laboratory support to the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC). As a pivotal test site for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, the WDTC is tasked with the evaluation of chemical and biological defense systems, incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, and associated operational concepts.

Additionally, we provide support for non-CB testing at the WDTC for the Department of Defense and other federal entities, including environmental assessments and munitions demilitarization.

Our Dugway operations commenced in 2004 with the establishment of the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services contract. Through this contract, we have collaborated with various engineering firms, employing a diverse team of over 170 professionals.

Position Overview

The Jacobs Dugway Team is seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Field Division Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the Field Division, including testing and training initiatives, as well as personnel management.

The candidate should possess experience in:

  • Holding a degree in science, business, or engineering, along with five to ten years of project management experience; or equivalent experience supporting government contracts.
  • Supervising and directing personnel in testing operations.
  • Developing test plans, cost estimates, and comprehensive technical strategies.
  • Creating and managing schedules, methodologies, devices, and equipment to gather test data and meet operational objectives.
  • Coordinating plans, statements of work, operating budgets, and implementing earned value management practices.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for program activities.
  • Managing all facets of assigned projects.

Essential Requirements:

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Physical Demands:

- Medium physical exertion required, including lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, or 10 lbs. constantly.

Work Environment:

- The role may involve both indoor and outdoor tasks.

- Indoor settings may include cubicles with varying lighting and noise levels.

- Outdoor tasks may expose the individual to diverse weather conditions.

- Collaboration with colleagues and management at all levels is essential.

- The office operates within government facilities.

Equipment Utilization:

- Office equipment and standard-sized pickup vehicles.

Attendance Expectations:

- Regular working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

- Punctuality and consistent attendance are crucial for meeting project deadlines.

- Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate urgent mission requirements.

Professional Conduct:

- Professional behavior is expected in all interactions with customers, management, and colleagues.

- Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.

- Appropriate grooming and attire are required for the position, ensuring safety for all personnel.

- A positive work atmosphere must be maintained through professional conduct and communication.

- Independent transportation to the office or work site is necessary.

- Travel to customer locations and testing fields may be required to support projects, which could involve air travel.

- When operating vehicles for work, adherence to safety protocols, including seat belt use and prohibition of mobile device usage while driving, is mandatory.

- A valid driver's license is required to operate various vehicles.
