About the Job

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL. As a CT Technologist, you will perform computerized tomography procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for computerized tomographic diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in advance research projects and assist in the development of new procedure protocols.
  • Act as the CT technical expert for the department and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer questions prior to the performance of the exam.
  • Obtain patient history pertinent to the exam and produce high-quality C.T. images within proper time parameters.
  • Adhere to procedure protocols at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an A.M.A.-approved program or equivalent training acquired via work experience.
  • Understanding of human anatomy and pathology, ability to distinguish between types of medical procedures and diagnoses, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of medical and scientific terminology, licensure as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program, and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
