Work Schedule:
- Evening; 8-hour shifts
- 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Monday to Friday; Rotating weekends and holidays
Role Responsibilities
In this capacity, the CT Technologist executes computerized tomography procedures at a technical level that does not necessitate constant oversight. This role requires independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program or equivalent experience
- Specific Degree: Radiologic Technology
- Comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and pathology
- Ability to differentiate between various medical procedures and diagnoses
- Strong communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with medical and scientific terminology
Licensure and Certifications
Required:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- ARRT (RT) licensure
- ARRT (CT) licensure
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
- Note for New Graduates: ARRT (CT) certification must be obtained within three months of hire, or if in cross-training, within 18 months.
