Work Schedule:

  • Nights Shift
  • 3x12's
  • 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Rotational duties across various departments including outpatient and emergency services.
  • Rotating every fourth weekend and holiday.

Key Responsibilities:

As a CT Imaging Technologist, you will:

  • Engage in advanced research initiatives and assist in developing new procedural protocols.
  • Serve as the technical expert within the department, addressing equipment issues and coordinating repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any inquiries.
  • Gather relevant patient history to ensure accurate imaging.
  • Produce high-quality CT images and generate 3-D images within established timeframes.
  • Adhere strictly to procedural protocols and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Radiological Technology from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy and pathology.
  • Ability to differentiate between various medical procedures and diagnoses.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with medical and scientific terminology.

Licensure/Certifications:

Required:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • ARRT (RT) and ARRT (CT) licensure.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA).
  • Note for New Graduates: ARRT (CT) certification must be obtained within three months of hire, or within 18 months if in cross-training.
