About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team at Alfa Laval. As a key member of our Service Operations team, you will be responsible for driving lean manufacturing transformations and process improvements across our Service Centers in the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing transformation projects and initiatives related to physical service center flows and administrative processes.
  • Develop and deploy lean manufacturing processes, and sustain them across the organization.
  • Identify and create standard processes throughout the organization, and facilitate lean daily management.
  • Support process and transactional productivity improvement or waste reduction projects, and act as a Project Manager in Lean Transformational Projects.
  • Provide service center management and employees with awareness, knowledge, and guidance of Alfa Laval Production System and Lean Six Sigma principles, methodologies, and tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or 5-7 years of relevant and progressive technical experience in a service or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience using advanced continuous improvement methods (Lean / TPM / Six Sigma / DMAIC) as a team member and team leader.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in lean manufacturing as a Continuous Improvement Leader, Lean Lead, Black Belt, Green Belt, or similar role.
  • Proven experience as a Kaizen Facilitator, and experience in driving service or manufacturing transformation projects as a Project Lead.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to teach VSM, 5S, 5Why, TPM, Standard Work, Process Mapping, Kanban, Types of Waste & Waste Reduction, Visual Management, Lean Line Manufacturing, DMAIC cycles.
  • Competent in Lean Six Sigma (minimum on Green Belt level).
