Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Respiratory Therapist II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our ICU settings, including PICU and NBSCU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient pulmonary status and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct patient education and training on respiratory care techniques and devices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Associates of Science degree in Respiratory Care and current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Connecticut.
  • Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with at least 12 months at Yale-New Haven Hospital or 3 years in a critical care environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care.
  • Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and critical care.
