Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient pulmonary status and develop effective treatment plans to optimize respiratory care.
  • Contribute to effective communication within the department through accurate documentation and clear communication with colleagues.
  • Provide patient education and support to promote self-management and empowerment.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining clinical expertise through continuing education and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and transitions.
Requirements
  • Associates of Science degree and certificate of completion of an AMA-Approved Respiratory Care Program.
  • Current license by the State of Connecticut as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with at least 12 months at Yale-New Haven Hospital or 3 years in a critical care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Care.
  • Proficient in all ICU's, including PICU and/or Newborn ICU.
