Pulmonary Function Testing Specialist

At Yale New Haven Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Pulmonary Function Testing Specialist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic tests and clinical activities in the assessment, treatment, and education of patients with respiratory problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pulmonary function tests to aid in the management and diagnosis of patients.
  • Assess patient's pulmonary status employing basic and advanced skills, including reviewing medical charts, patient interviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of blood gases.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment used for diagnostic testing.
  • Document services provided, changes in patients' clinical status, and therapeutic objectives.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited program of Respiratory Care.
  • Current active license by the State of Connecticut as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • NBRC Registration: Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Respiratory Therapist; experience in Pulmonary Function, preferred.
