About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will provide expertise in environmental, occupational health and safety, and risk management for our operations at the Linden Distribution Center. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the site in maintaining compliance with all applicable EHS requirements, eliminating worker injuries, and associated costs. You will work closely with the Senior Manager of EHS on all safety-related topics, overseeing training management, and ensuring employees receive thorough instruction on safety protocols and procedures.

Your Daily Impact
  • Develop and implement EHS initiatives for all operations within the Linden Distribution Center
  • Manage and perform planning, training, inspection, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements for all safety compliance programs
  • Lead training efforts for EHS-related activities throughout the site
  • Manage the preparation and submission of safety-related agency regulatory reports
  • Provide engaging health and safety leadership to facility employees
  • Lead the site Safety Committees
  • Develop and support strategic initiatives to produce best-in-class EHS performance
  • Act as the facility and regional champion for the Zero Incidents initiative
  • Lead the tracking and assessment of safety requirements and metrics
  • Advise business group leadership teams on strategy deployment progress and challenges
  • Train and assist site managers, supervisors, and employees in the development and implementation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives
  • Conduct audits to ensure consistent, best-in-class results and compliance, and prepare reports of findings with recommendations for corrective action
  • Perform Job Safety Analysis of all worksite activities and lead actions for controls and countermeasures
  • Observe workers to determine the proper use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures
  • Train and demonstrate proper use of safety equipment
  • Investigate incidents to determine root cause and prepare/direct corrective action plans
