The Insurance Client Service Specialist at Big I Kentucky plays a crucial role in fostering strong customer connections by addressing inquiries and concerns with efficiency and professionalism. This position involves daily interactions with clients, insurance providers, and colleagues while executing specific service and marketing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist current clients with policy updates, provide quotes, process payments, respond to inquiries, and supply necessary documentation.
  • Handle incoming customer calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies, managing all claims, including after-hours claims.
  • Engage with new clients or support a producer to assess their needs, gather essential information, research policy options, present alternatives, finalize and secure new coverage, cancel outdated policies, and negotiate with carriers as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and/or client calls or assist a producer in reviewing existing policies, evaluating liability limits and exposures, exploring additional coverage needs, assessing replacement costs, rounding out accounts, and securing renewals.
  • Communicate with customers to provide comprehensive information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals and/or cancel accounts, accept payments, and deliver requested documentation.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer concerns, identifying the root cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions, documenting inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise, answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Possess the insurance license mandated by your state and have a minimum of two years of experience in commercial lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products and applications, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent phone etiquette; possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficient math and reading abilities to perform calculations.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and the ability to manage challenging situations with customers and resolve complex problems independently.
  • Possess excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset, along with proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management systems, rating tools, and navigation of carrier websites.

Compensation: $24, $42,000.00 per year
