The Project Manager for EPC Utility-Scale Solar will operate in a mid to senior-level project management capacity. This position requires immediate engagement with utility-scale Solar EPC projects ranging from 150MW to 350MW. You will oversee substantial EPC projects that include solar and renewable energy initiatives. There is also the possibility of managing projects in other renewable energy sectors, such as wind. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of the financial outcomes for some of the largest EPC Solar projects in the renewable energy sector
- Manage the execution of projects that hold high visibility within Black & Veatch
Please note: This position entails 25% to 50% travel to project and client locations. When not traveling, this role will adopt a hybrid model: 2 days remote and 3 days in-office at any Black & Veatch office in the Central US.

Key Responsibilities- Actively promote Black & Veatch's safety culture
- Serve as the primary resource for executive management regarding overall project health
- Oversee the planning, development, issuance, and progress tracking of all assigned projects from notice-to-proceed through commercial operation
- Manage the schedule, budget, and scope of EPC projects
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to identify and resolve issues related to design information, schedule, material deliveries, change management, safety, and quality
- Address escalated problems or issues
- Oversee the commercial recovery process and project close-out
- Manage the application of quality and control procedures
Act as a project manager, including the management of a project team. The composition of this team may vary by project.
Preferred Qualifications- 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including utility-scale solar EPC project management on the EPC execution side (excluding roles as an owner's engineer overseeing an EPC contractor).
- Experience as a Project Manager with direct responsibility for the execution of engineering, procurement, and construction for EPC projects.
- Experience as a Construction Manager will also be considered if you have managed full construction scope on multiple 150MW+ utility-scale solar projects.
- Current PMs who have managed full construction scope for at least one 300MW+ utility-scale solar project or multiple 150MW+ utility-scale solar projects will also be considered.
- Experience managing project teams in a union construction environment and managing union labor.
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with local union halls.
- Experience as the single point-of-contact, managing the financial outcomes for at least 2 utility-scale solar EPC projects (150MW+) from initiation to completion.
- Willingness to be on-site up to 100% if necessary for project success.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

- Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in-office and 2 days remote
- Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise levels, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Activities include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
