I. Job Overview
Under general supervision, this role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of small to medium-sized technology projects, taking responsibility for custom software development, implementation of standard solutions, and enhancements to existing systems. The position operates within a matrixed environment and will lead a diverse array of technology resources throughout the project lifecycle. Regular communication of project status to senior and executive technology leadership is required, with ultimate accountability for project success.
II. Responsibilities
- Manage all project activities through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), effectively applying various project methodologies and enforcing standards to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- In collaboration with senior leadership, assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, develop schedules, and determine necessary resources.
- Assist in articulating the business case to the project team to facilitate decision-making and prioritization, keeping the business case central to drive decisions.
- Act as a liaison between technology and business stakeholders and senior leadership regarding project status, issues, and risks.
- Create and maintain project plans, ensuring effective financial forecasting and tracking.
- Collaborate with other technology and business units to reach consensus on project scope, acquire resources, and ensure preparedness.
- Review and assess work to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- May mentor and guide less-experienced team members and serve as a team leader on systems projects.

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five years of project management experience is required.
- Intermediate knowledge or skills in one or more of the following:
- Managing multiple projects at various stages of the SDLC simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies, particularly in Guide Five and Nine, Waterfall.
- Agile Project Management methodologies.
- Leading infrastructure-related projects such as network upgrades, hardware procurement, and core technology application deployments.
- Assisting in defining systems strategy, developing requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under tight deadlines.
- Effectively presenting and communicating with all organizational levels, including technical and non-technical audiences, senior leadership, and executives.
- Ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders in both IT and business units to collaborate on project scope, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Understanding of IT governance and reporting.
- Ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations or communications.
