Job Description

As a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist at COOPERATIVE SYSTEMS LLC, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our customers' systems and serving as an escalation point for solving technical problems and issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the infrastructure and integrity of customers' systems
  • Serve as escalation point for solving technical problems and issues
  • Provide insight and input on the design of technical projects
  • Act as a resource on the implementation of technical projects
  • Analyze customer needs and engineer solutions to meet those needs while understanding customer constraints
  • Possess and maintain knowledge of network and server environments including (but not limited to) Server Operating Systems, Virtualization Technology, E-Mail platforms, Cloud Services, Networking and Security
  • Perform administrative duties including but not limited to logging hours, maintaining customer documentation, and using company-approved data entry system
  • Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Draft and maintain documentation of technical processes for internal and external use
  • Serve as Technical Mentor to Junior Technicians
  • Exercises independent judgment in the interest of the company as a substantial part of the work day
  • Obtain training and certifications to further goals of self and the company
  • Provide ideas/insights as to new products or services that the company can offer its clients
  • Perform after hours customer support as required
  • Meet (at a minimum) company Service Level Agreements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP Understand network topologies, IP routing, switching, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in IT engineering
