Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rig Operator with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team at Steel Energy Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our workover rigs, ensuring the efficient and effective completion of drilling and completion operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain workover rigs, including driving the rig to and from work sites
  • Conduct daily pre-job safety meetings and write Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Inspect and document all lift equipment on location
  • Lead the rigging up and rigging down of the workover rig in a safe manner
  • Pull and lay down rods, tubing, and casing by operating the rig controls
  • Guide and manage the rig crew daily
  • Assist in training and mentoring SSE employees and floor hands as needed
  • Perform maintenance services and repairs on oil and gas wells as part of a three-to-five-person crew
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Experience in operating and maintaining workover rigs
  • Strong knowledge of drilling and completion operations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work at heights up to or greater than 50 feet
  • Dependability and ability to work beyond traditional 8-hour workday
