We are seeking a skilled Mixer Driver to join our team at Permian Basin Materials LLC. As a Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading ready mix concrete from our batch plant to customer job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of our products.

- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Develop strong relationships with customers to address their needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Check loads to ensure concrete products meet customer specifications.
- Complete work tickets accurately and timely, and obtain customer signatures as required.
- Follow written and oral instructions from dispatch or plant manager to ensure quality of concrete loaded into mixer drum.
- Able to distinguish between proper mix and one that is too rocky, too sandy, or too wet.
- Maintain logbooks, DVIR, and other DOT requirements on a daily basis.
- Track hours of service to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Know and adhere to DOT rules and regulations, as well as state and federal requirements.
- Drive and operate mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete safely at customer job sites.
- Determine most direct route to customer job site, considering safety, traffic, and state DOT regulations.
- Inspect customer job site to ensure truck can be operated safely and delivery can be made safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, and maintain truck maintenance, fluid levels, and fuel as needed.
- Report any vehicle mechanical problems on a timely basis to ensure prompt attention from fleet maintenance.
- Attach extension chutes as needed to ensure efficient unloading.
- Remove excess concrete from truck exterior surfaces, and ensure mixer drum is properly maintained and kept free of concrete build-up.
- Keep truck interior and exterior clean and free of clutter, including removing road film and excess concrete from exterior surfaces.
- Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and other Company policies and procedures.
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary, including hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, boots, harnesses, and other clothing as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum age of 21 years old required.
- Current, valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR.
- Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and paper logs.
- General knowledge of the local area is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with simple math calculations as well as measurements.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions (oral and written) and to work independently.
- Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English per FMCSA.
Candidate must be drug-free. Position requires moderately strenuous physical work. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds from floor to waist or shoulder level occasionally, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently, climb in and out of equipment 50+ times per day, climb up and down ladders occasionally, position self to stand, bend, hold and reach for extended periods of time, use hands, fingers, and feet to operate assigned equipment, travel safely while walking and while operating heavy machinery and/or trucks over uneven terrain, roads, and pavement, see, hear, and respond to verbal, visual, and written instructions, wear proper protective equipment including hard hat, glasses, high visibility clothing, steel-toed boots, and gloves, observe all company Safety policies on company premises and while operating equipment, and continually work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
