Lead Educational Program Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Lead Educational Program Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the Office of Equity and Compliance/Title IX (OEC). This position involves collaborating with the Director to manage educational initiatives focused on preventing sexual misconduct, organizing awareness campaigns, and delivering training sessions to the university community regarding OEC policies and procedures.
The Lead Educational Program Coordinator will support the Director in ensuring that all OEC personnel complete mandatory training, while also guaranteeing adherence to Title IV, VI, VII, IX, the Jeanne Clery Act, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and FERPA in relation to prevention, awareness, and training obligations.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver effective communication and facilitate both in-person and online presentations to faculty, staff, and students on topics related to sexual misconduct prevention and OEC policies.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of OEC operations to oversee prevention and training programs that align with Title IX, the Clery Act, and VAWA.
- Assist the Director in organizing, presenting, and monitoring the completion of in-person, evidence-based, trauma-informed educational programs addressing sexual misconduct prevention and awareness, including topics such as consent, bystander intervention, risk reduction, and healthy relationships.
- Coordinate and track the delivery of in-person training sessions for students, employees, faculty, and others regarding OEC policies and reporting responsibilities for Responsible Employees and Campus Security Authority (CSA).
- Manage and execute awareness events and campaigns focused on sexual misconduct prevention and OEC policies, particularly during designated awareness months.
- Stay informed on best practices for prevention education, awareness initiatives, and training methodologies.
- Collaborate with the Education Content Developer to create and maintain educational materials for Learning Management Systems.
- Ensure all OEC staff fulfill required annual training obligations and maintain accurate records of completed training.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master's degree in higher education, criminal justice, education, student development, or counseling.
- Three to five years of experience in counseling, support, or training within a trauma-related field.
- A proactive, goal-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration to achieve organizational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree and three to five years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage goals and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in delivering professional presentations in various settings.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to articulate and support the unique educational mission and vision of Liberty University.
- Must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan.
- Must not have a criminal record involving the misuse of government funds.
