Child Evangelism Fellowship Virginia, Central Virginia Chapter, is in search of a dedicated individual with a ministry focus to take on the role of District Team Leader (DTL).


Key Responsibilities:

The District Team Leader (DTL) will oversee the After-School Good News Clubs (GNCs) within the designated District, ensuring both the growth and excellence of these programs. The DTL is expected to commit approximately 20 hours each week.


Specific Duties Include:
  1. Facilitating Growth of Good News Clubs:
    Promote the establishment of GNCs in new educational institutions within the District.
    Engage with community members to raise awareness of the GNC program.
    Communicate significant contacts and public relations opportunities to the Director and Good News Club Coordinator.
    Encourage the participation of new children in existing clubs.
  2. Ensuring Excellence in Good News Clubs:
    Conduct regular assessments of clubs to ensure compliance with CEF Policies, focusing on:
    - Instruction quality (completeness of GNC components)
    - Student care quality (evangelism, discipleship, safety, and enjoyment)
  3. Managing GNC Team Leaders and Teams:
    Verify that all team members are listed on the Club Roster with Child Protection clearance.
    Ensure that Monthly Statistical Reports are submitted to the chapter office within the specified timeframe.
    Maintain communication between clubs, sponsoring churches, and the Chapter Prayer Coordinator.
    Complete administrative tasks as required.
    Facilitate interactions with school administration as necessary to support club operations.
    Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Local Director.

Reporting Structure:

The DTL will meet regularly with the Local Coordinator/Director and submit a monthly written report detailing activities and progress.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must agree to and sign CEF's Statement of Faith and demonstrate a balanced approach to Christian living, which includes:

  • A consistent daily relationship with the Lord
  • Effective resource management
  • Active involvement in a local church
  • A ministry-oriented mindset as a spiritual servant leader, characterized by humility and submission to the Lord
