Job Summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a skilled Custom Framing Manager to lead our framing team and drive custom framing sales. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing the skills of our framers, assisting customers in creating memorable framing solutions, and achieving sales and production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of framers to achieve sales and production goals, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers in creating custom framing solutions, provide solutions to their framing needs, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Sales and Production: Drive custom framing sales, achieve sales and production goals, and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPIs.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and execute inventory management processes, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment.
  • Shrink and Safety: Manage and execute shrink and safety programs, including maintaining a safe and secure store environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training of new team members, and participate in performance management activities.
  • Other Duties: Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Previous Experience: Previous custom framing experience is preferred, as well as retail management experience and experience leading a sales team.
Work Environment

Michaels Stores is a public retail store setting with a climate-controlled environment. The store is open to the public, and employees are expected to maintain a safe and respectful work environment. The position requires regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching, as well as the ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods of time.
