Position Title: Housekeeper Lead

Supervisor: Executive Director or Maintenance Director

FLSA Status: Hourly, non-exempt

Overall Purpose:

The Housekeeper Lead is responsible for ensuring that the cleanliness and organization of resident accommodations and communal areas are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves cleaning resident apartments and common areas with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
  • Ability to execute housekeeping tasks in compliance with safety and sanitation protocols efficiently.
  • Communicate promptly regarding any health or safety concerns related to residents.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in effective communication in English, both spoken and written.
  • Meets any applicable state requirements for the position.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintain professionalism and respect in interactions with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Exemplary customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently under time constraints while maintaining high performance standards.
  • May assist in emergency management during evacuations.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and educate housekeeping staff to uphold cleanliness, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules, including holiday coverage.
  • Assign tasks to the housekeeping team, including weekend duties.
  • Oversee inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies.
  • Conduct quality inspections of completed work and ensure readiness for new residents.
  • Perform cleaning duties in resident apartments and communal areas as per established checklists.
  • Coordinate deep cleaning schedules for apartments and common areas.
  • Monitor the status of guest suites and assigned tasks daily.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure the community is clean and well-maintained, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Address resident concerns or complaints in coordination with management.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by community management.
  • Participate in necessary training and educational sessions to comply with state regulations.
