Specialty Products Manager

Remet Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Specialty Products Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing product line segments in the Precision Investment Casting market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement product line segment business plans to drive growth and profitability.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and develop effective marketing strategies.
- Manage the introduction of new products into the market segment and coordinate with existing product offerings.
- Communicate product specifications to meet customer requirements and expectations.
- Assist in product development and launch planning to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate the development of technical Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) and lead marketing and sales promotional plans.
- Assist in evaluating managed products and recommending market strategies as necessary.
- Establish and manage product list pricing and costs to optimize profit margins.
- Track and report monthly results, customer updates, vendor updates, and competitive intel.
- Develop and forecast annual sales plans and budgets.
- Manage key vendor partnerships and develop new strategic relationships.
- Assist PIC sales management and territory managers in providing product information and marketing materials.
- Closely manage and monitor specialty product inventories to optimize working capital.
- Work with vendors, customer service, and supply chain to ensure on-time deliveries of quality products.
- Oversee and manage resolution of customer and vendor complaints and issues.
- Domestic and occasional international travel may be required.
- Follow all applicable ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with the documented Quality System.
Main Working Relationships:
- Internal: Routine and daily contact with key personnel, including the President & CEO, Executive Management Team, Sales and Technical Teams, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance & Compliance, Finance, IT, and Operations personnel.
- External: Working relationships with key strategic vendors, customers, and industry partners and associations.
Problem Solving Complexity:
- Target new areas for growth and profitability while maintaining current customer base and market share.
- Keep up to date with new technologies, processes, and competitive advantages.
- Analyze customer issues and opportunities to make recommended solutions or application offerings.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a business or technical related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the Precision Investment Casting industry or a related field.
- Masters/MBA in a business or technical related field is highly desirable.
- Tactful and strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and effective use of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other related software applications.
