Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Shearers. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations, driving an engaged culture, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily HR operations, including onboarding, payroll, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- Drive an actively engaged culture through positive interactions with the hourly workforce.
- Communicate, interpret, and enforce all company policies and practices applicable to the site.
- Manage headcount and partner with Talent Acquisition to support the needs of the business.
- Develop effective new hire onboarding and training programs.
- Lead Retention, Rewards, and Recognition Employee Involvement Teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or equivalent work experience.
- SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years Human Resources work experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees and management fluently.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
- Strong drive for results to lead and facilitate efforts to ensure human resources alignment with the company and/or site.
- Experience with HRIS systems, ADP preferably.
- Demonstrated ability to deal directly with line management and hourly workforce to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster culture change.
- Strong project management and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage priorities.
- Ability to lead with empathy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
