Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests with a warm and sincere welcome, using a positive and clear speaking voice to ensure a seamless check-in experience.
  2. Process registrations efficiently, using a computer system to input and retrieve information, and confirming details such as room rates and guest numbers.
  3. Promote HEI Hotels and Resorts and brand marketing programs to enhance the guest experience.
  4. Make informed room selections based on guest needs, and code electronic keys to ensure secure access.
  5. Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, handle cash and make change, and balance the house bank to maintain accurate financial records.
  6. Process payments, including vouchers, traveler's checks, and foreign currency, and post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer.
  7. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly, using effective communication and problem-solving skills to ensure guest satisfaction.
  8. Close guest accounts at check-out, and negotiate compromises as needed to resolve any issues.
  9. Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results.
  10. Remain calm and alert during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity, using experienced judgment and discretion to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a college degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience preferred, with a strong understanding of front office operations and customer service principles.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, using patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office, and continuously perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
