We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our operations team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and executing the returns process in alignment with our corporate standards. The Specialist will be responsible for documenting and coordinating activities across various departments, including manufacturing, customer service, and sales. Key responsibilities include:

  • Addressing customer inquiries and accurately entering return data into customer accounts.
  • Conducting quality-related tasks, including analysis of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Reviewing internal control procedures and business processes to suggest enhancements that improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leading root cause analysis initiatives utilizing the 8D problem-solving methodology.
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive data analysis reports to identify trends and propose corrective measures.

A typical day for a Quality Assurance Specialist may involve:

  • Investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Drafting and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of quality and inspection systems.
  • Collecting and analyzing statistical quality data to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Developing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
  • Preparing reports to communicate the results of quality initiatives.
  • Evaluating audit findings and executing necessary corrective actions.
  • Managing document control systems.
  • Engaging in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Familiarity with CRM and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance tools, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, which may include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular standing, sitting, and use of hands for various tasks.
  • Visual acuity for close and distance tasks, as well as depth perception.
