As a Quality Assurance Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Reporting any food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
  2. Conducting in-process quality inspections across various departments/lines each shift, ensuring compliance with production documentation, retain samples, code dates, weight checks, metal detection records, labeling, cleanliness, and monitoring for allergen cross-contamination.
  3. Performing daily scale checks.
  4. Managing holds on materials due to quality or food safety concerns, including:
  • Placing materials on hold as per established policies.
  • Issuing electronic hold reports and transferring products as necessary.
  • Releasing held products upon receiving the necessary approvals.
  • Generating disposal reports for materials that need to be discarded.
  1. Conducting metal detector audits during production.
  2. Verifying DVU logs and performing alarm checks for equipment.
  3. Validating changeovers on production lines and conducting ATP swabbing after sanitation.
  4. Performing environmental swabbing in accordance with company policies.
  5. Conducting annual allergen validations.
  6. Maintaining QA supply inventory.
  7. Creating retain samples for production use.
  8. Carrying out internal plant audits and glass/plastic audits.
  9. Executing annual magnet pull tests and biannual metal detection tests on specific items.
  10. Monitoring GMP practices on the production floor and reporting daily findings.
  11. Training new QA personnel.
  12. Generating maintenance requests as needed.
  13. Initiating line shutdowns in response to serious food safety concerns.
  14. Filing QA documentation.
  15. Performing additional tasks as required by the QA department.
  16. Conducting oil FFA and water chlorine checks.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $18/hr

*Compensation will be determined based on various factors, including education, experience, location, job duties, and certifications.
