Job Overview:

The role of the Electrician, Maintenance involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems. Key duties include:

  • Repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and appliances.
  • Utilizing hand tools and testing equipment effectively.
  • Inspecting and testing electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
  • Identifying defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical components using both general and specialized testing equipment.
  • Replacing faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
  • Dismantling electrical machinery and replacing defective electrical or mechanical parts, including gears, brushes, and armatures.
  • Mounting motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completing circuits according to diagram specifications.
  • Working from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Performing all tasks in accordance with established safety protocols.
  • Participating in special projects as required.
