Position Overview

This role is primarily remote, focused on the west coast.

Are you a seasoned Field Service Engineer based in the US, seeking a rewarding opportunity to influence your company’s future growth?

Reporting to the Team Leader - Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include providing both remote and on-site support for pre and post-sales operations, utilizing strong hands-on and analytical skills.
  • Assist Lunaphore and clients in ensuring optimal operation and maintenance of the setup.
  • Diagnose issues and formulate effective solutions.
  • Install, maintain, and repair Lunaphore equipment.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of all technical aspects of the product, including hardware and software.
  • Conduct basic staining assays on the setup for protocol testing (training will be provided).
  • Collaborate with the technical team to enhance product performance.
  • Identify client issues and relay customer feedback.
  • Exhibit a results-driven approach by consistently meeting objectives and adhering to deadlines.
  • This role requires frequent travel, with potential for up to 85% domestic overnight trips.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in field service engineering within life sciences research, diagnostics, or medical devices.
  • Relevant qualifications in Microsystems, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, or Microscopy Optics.
  • Practical experience with basic laboratory techniques is preferred.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis; IT support experience for software and hardware is advantageous.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including working with heavy equipment and in confined spaces.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing solutions and excellent customer service.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Capability to interpret technical issues based on customer descriptions.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to share information with colleagues and management.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, organizational skills, punctuality, and attention to detail.
  • Integrity, a strong work ethic, and a solution-oriented approach are essential.
  • Must reside within a reasonable distance from a major U.S. airport.
