The Product division leverages creativity, analytical insights, and operational proficiency to guide our product strategy at Snap Inc. This team, composed of designers, researchers, and product strategists, collaborates in a dynamic environment to develop products and experiences that unite our community in unique and meaningful ways.

We are seeking a Lead Product Researcher, Quantitative to contribute to Snap Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine research requirements by collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Growth teams.
  • Develop detailed research strategies utilizing suitable methodologies.
  • Oversee the complete research lifecycle, including defining objectives, recruiting participants, moderating sessions, synthesizing findings, and delivering presentations.
  • Work in partnership with Design, Growth, Product Management, and Data Science teams to design and execute studies that provide insights for product innovation and emerging technologies.
  • Effectively communicate actionable insights regarding products and design to stakeholders.
  • Act as a strong advocate for user-centric design – promote user-centered practices and emphasize the significance of usability within development teams and across the organization.
  • Conduct studies that reveal solutions for product innovation and new technologies.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience in designing quantitative research studies, analyzing outcomes, and generating reports with actionable insights.
  • Thorough understanding of UX Research methodologies with the capability to convey study designs to stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management, Design, and Engineering leaders.
  • Comfortable presenting findings to senior management.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Proficient in behavioral research design, statistical analysis, and programming to enhance user experience.
  • Strong knowledge of survey design principles, survey bias, and strategies to mitigate bias; experience with diverse sample sizes.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python/R.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in applied behavioral science, human-computer interaction, psychology, design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in UX Product Research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in applied behavioral science, human-computer interaction, psychology, design, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Snapchat as a product.
  • Experience in natural language processing.
  • Background in experimental design and analysis.

Compensation: In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone that determines the salary range for the position. The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be subject to change in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $168,000-$252,000 annually.

Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $160,000-$239,000 annually.

Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $143,000-$214,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
